I Found My Voice
“Prior to the going through the transformational leadership development program, most of the people on the project did not even recognize there was a person named Elham. I was faithful to complete the tasks within my position, but I never weighed in on any conversation outside of my specific work responsibilities. I was always afraid of being “wrong” or concerned that others would think badly of me. During the training program, I began to understand the impact of my silence. In essence, I was giving my power away and missing out on the opportunity to influence decisions and outcomes. During the coaching sessions, I was challenged to find my voice, overcome my fears, and share the unique perspective and insights that I possess. Today, not only do I look for ways to make contributions at work and home, I am now the Manager of the M&E Department on a new project.”
